This is a semi-refined raw sugar produced after the first crystallization of sugarcane juice. It is often referred to as VHP (Very High Polarization) sugar because it has high sucrose content despite its raw state.

    • Crystals: Coarse to medium-sized grains (typically 0.6 mm to 0.7 mm).

    • Texture: Slightly moist and denser than white sugar.

    • Polarization: 97.8% to 99.2% minimum.

    • Moisture Content: 0.15% to 0.5% maximum.

    • Ash Content: 0.15% maximum.

    • Solubility: 95% to 100% free-flowing.
